Rock Solid Work. Refined Results.
Wrenco hardscape. Another fantastic project in conjunction with TradeCraft LLC
This project involved the removal of an existing retaining wall that had been poorly constructed and no longer supported the desired use of the yard space. The goal was to regrade the area behind the wall to create a flatter, more functional landscape while integrating new concrete steps leading to the home. Additional landscape remediation was completed, including reworking the driveway and parking area to reduce excessive slope and improve usability.
Materials from the original retaining wall were responsibly reused to create a new lower edge along the driveway. This allowed us to backfill, raise, and properly grade the parking and driveway surfaces, improving drainage and access while maximizing the use of existing materials.
For the new retaining wall, the client selected a speckled, fractured granite sourced from a nearby pit. Each stone was individually set and stabilized to ensure long-term structural integrity while achieving a clean, natural appearance. The wall was backfilled with fabric and drain rock to prevent erosion, reduce hydrostatic pressure, and keep soil from staining the exposed stone faces—ensuring the wall remains both stable and visually striking over time.
The project was completed with integrated concrete steps connecting the landscape to the home, along with additional rock landscaping adjacent to the client’s shop. The result is a durable, well-drained, and thoughtfully designed hardscape that significantly improves both function and curb appeal.
